The industry standard for transcribing an audio file is that it takes one hour for every 15 recorded minutes of audio.
Price structure according to turnaround periods: Per Recorded Minute (PRM). (Prices are rounded up or down to the nearest minute for all part minutes).
- ECONOMY (five business days) – £0.90 per recorded audio minute
This choice is ideal if you have a flexible timeframe. Upload the file on Monday and you’ll have it back the following Monday.
- REGULAR/STANDARD (two business days) – £1.10 per recorded audio minute
This option ensures you get your files back by the second business day. All work uploaded outside of business hours is classed as being received by us at 9am the next working day.
- RUSH (one business day) – £1.30 per recorded audio minute
This option ensures your document is emailed back by the end of the next business day.
- 4-HOUR – £2.50 per recorded audio minute
All files must be uploaded by 1pm (Monday to Friday) to guarantee a 4-hour turnaround. Anything uploaded after 1pm will be delivered by 9am the following business morning.
We have four different turnaround times, but if you need work returned, say within 2 hours, we will endeavour to meet this requirement, dependent on the length and quality of your audio file.

Accents/Background Noise/Court Transcripts/Difficult Audio/Poor Quality/Focus Groups = + 30p per recorded minute
5 – 8 parties speaking = + 30p per recorded minute
9 – 15 parties speaking = + 60p per recorded minute
16+ parties speaking = + 90p per recorded minute
Charges are from £10.00 per 1,000 words for simple copy typing based on the Regular/Standard turnaround.
For jobs over two audio hours a deposit of 25% is required in advance of work commencing.
Invoices will be issued prior to completion of each assignment for individual projects and we require full cleared funds to be made prior to the finished work being released.

We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at a rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate on the outstanding balance from the date of the invoice until the date of payment.
