The nature of the work performed, and any information transmitted to XS Typing Ltd by the Client shall remain confidential. We shall not without the prior consent of the client, divulge or otherwise disclose such information to any person other than authorised employees or authorised subcontractors of XS Typing Ltd whose job performance requires such acts. Non-Disclosure Agreements can be supplied on request if deemed necessary.
Receipt of your audio or text files is confirmation that you have accepted our terms and conditions and by accepting work or services agreed upon, you, the customer, assume full responsibility for the final proofreading and accuracy of documents, final product or service. Any errors or omissions bought to our attention within 48 hours of receipt will be amended free of charge. Any other additions or amendments made by the customer will be charged. XSTyping Ltd cannot be held liable for damage to any media supplied by the customer either in our possession or in transit. No refunds are available after commencement of work, except at the discretion of XS Typing Ltd If the customer is not satisfied with the first draft of a transcript, XS Typing Ltd will make all reasonable effort to revise the document at no extra charge. Replacement copies of transcripts are available for a period of 60 days after which they are automatically deleted and therefore suggests that you make a back-up copy of any documents you may require. Any work returned by post will be via special or recorded delivery, with costs incurred by you.
Any date agreed by XS Typing Ltd for delivery is given and intended as an estimate only which is not to be the essence of the contract. XS Typing Ltd reserves the right to change turnaround times and prices quoted due to changes in the specifications, quantities, legibility and / or quality of origin or source material, delivery arrangements, unforeseen problems or other circumstances. XS Typing Ltd will make every endeavour to meet such an estimated date but shall not be liable to make good any damage or loss, whether arising directly or indirectly out of its failure to meet such date.
You are solely responsible for abiding by copyright laws. XS Typing Ltd retains the right to accept or decline any orders for transcription services and may at its discretion refuse to accept any order, or provide that acceptance be subject to such conditions as imposed by XS Typing Ltd.
All charges quoted are based on the assumption that the source contains clear, professionally recorded audio. If only certain portions of recordings are to be transcribed, explicit time code ranges must be listed. Surcharges or extra time may be applied in the following circumstances; frequent time-stamping, poor audio quality, background noise, people speaking over one another, low-speaking voices that are difficult to be heard, strong foreign or regional accents, corrected grammar, verbatim, multiple speakers, scientific or company terminology requiring research.
Payment is due prior to any work being released and for jobs over two audio hours a deposit of 25% is required in advance of work commencing. Invoices will be issued prior to completion of each assignment for individual projects and we require full cleared funds to be made prior to the finished work being released. All payments must be in U.K. pounds sterling unless otherwise agreed in writing. If any cheque from the Client is returned by the bank as unpaid for any reason the Client will be liable for an administration fee of £30.
